About this objectA silver medal with raised shield, surrounded by a scroll design. Shield has a banner beneath reading '1914 Football' and inside the shield is '15th NA .RGT.'. Shield hangs with a chain link from a plain metal bar. On the back is engraved: 'C. Coy. H.C. Smith'. Donor was a member of a Rugby team of 'C Company 15th North Auckland Regiment while in camp in Cambridge, 1914. The team from 'C Company' prevailed against all comers, their very proud Colonel presenting each member with a silver medal. This medal belonged to 15298 Lt. Harold Curtis Smith.
