About this objectThis petticoat was made by Eleanor Bourdôt for her daughter Servilla. Servilla was born 2nd January 1910. Eleanor was a dressmaker and this dress is partly hand and machine sewn. White cotton baby petticoat, plain yoke with a long skirt gathered onto at waist. No sleeves, round neckline, broderie anglaise frill at armhole and neck. Hem of skirt has two large tucks, three pin tucks, a broderie anglaise inset then a frill of different scalloped edge broderie anglaise. Either side of the inset is coral stitch embroidery.
