About this object

Two 'Camp Surgical Corset Model 9441 Size 28'. A foundation garment used to support the figure, rather than mould especially for medical problems. This corset has two separate groups of lacings with elastic straps, is boned and has suspenders. Hook and eye fastening, white nylon and heavy lycra with pink and blue floral pattern, c.1950's Part of a collection of corsetry obtained from the business of Kay Goodson and Professional Corsetiere and Figure Specialist, of 210 Dilworth Buildings, Queen Street, Auckland upon its closing down.
