This painting is one of a series of nude studies in the Woollaston 101 collection. During 1977, Woollaston was part of a group that met regularly at The Suter Art Gallery to paint nude studies. The paintings culminated in an exhibition 'Woollaston: Studies from the Nude' which opened at The Suter before touring the rest of the country.
