My great uncle AG Boyce, Antique Dealer, owned the house until his death in 1957. He was I believe responsible for renovating the house to the way it was in the photograph. He moved to Auckland from Cambridge in 1938. I am not sure when he moved there. My father said they had to do quite a bit of renovating to restore the house when he bought it.
