Subject and Association Description

Mrs Rachel Wagstaff was married to the first Howick blacksmith - Mr George Wagstaff. She ran the first Howick Post Office and was the local correspondant for the NZ Herald.

Grandmother to Evelyn Brickell (nee Wagstaff) who has donated many 'Wagstaff' items to Howick Historical Village.
