Grey Green with mauve/pink brocade on skirt and light brown on bodice: 1: Skirt: Machine and hand sewn. large pleats with 4 smaller in between around skirt to front panel. Front panel has grey/green lace around edge with pink/purple brocade inside of lace, silk fabric is gathered into brown cotton waist band. Underneath panel the silk fabric Is along the bottom and the rest is made of brown cotton this is part of a separate lining inside the rest of the skirt. Around the upper back from side to side is a swath of silk gathered up into sides at hip, along the bottom of the silk is the same brocade and lace as rest of skirt. Muslin backing Inside silk on lower skirt. 2: Bodice: Back in 4 panels shaped into waist, below waist fantail pleat peplum. Pleats lined with light brown satin brocade, same brocade cuffs, collar, across chest with 4 pleats and down front opening. 14 round wooden buttons with red glass? centres, 16 handmade buttonholes. Lining of cream cotton with red and brown motif. Darts on front have been unstitched.
