Glenfern Homestead.
About this objectGlenfern homestead surrounded by trees including a Norfolk Pine. The homestead was behind Howick Post office in Uxbridge Road. It was built by George J Sellwood who had a general store and Marine Hotel. It was later owned by Mr Lawson, the milkman who also sold eggs and delivered milk to Howick residents. He sold to Hector Dorrington in 1939 who was on the Howick Town Board abd a teacher at Otahuhu College, Later he became the Principal of Thames High School.
