About this object

An old Maori Poupaenga, or boundary stone, in the mudflats of the Wakaaranga Creek near Pigeon Mountain, ca 1970. This stone was later rescued from bulldozers and relocated to Howick Historical Village with the approval of Manukau City Council Parks and local iwi. Also showing farmland, a fence, a road running l-r and trees. 1 print and 1 enlargement
