About this object
A pastel green wool cardigan, lined and embellished with hand stitched white beaded daisies. White beads also edge the neckline and front boarder. A label on the inside neck reads 42". This cardigan was worn by Miss Mamie Reid who lived in Australia. She was a concert pianist by profession. There are two photos in the museum collection which show Miss Reid playing at the Lae area in New Guinea in 1945, as a part of the Dick Bentley Concert Party. She was a cousin of George Forrest Reid who lived in Te Arai/Tomarata area.
