About this object
Large cashmere and silk printed throw. Woven in natural colour with cashmere weft and a silk warp with this reversed at the edges and in lines throughout to create stripes in the warp length of cashmere and stripes in the weft in silk, the ends of the warp have been left tasselled. The finished weaving has then been colour printed around the edges and motifs in the centre in maroon, red, pink, green, blue and gold. The designs are geometric floral ones typical of the area where this weaving has its origins in Cashmere.
